The Fashion program at Downtown Phoenix, ASU California Center, and Online campuses of Arizona State University invites applications for Summer Session Instructors to teach undergraduate courses online and/or on-campus in: Fashion 

We are seeking session instructors with expertise in various areas of fashion. Specializations may include clothing design, footwear, accessories, textile design, fashion styling, merchandising, pattern making, or focused segments such as high-end fashion, mass-market fashion, or sustainable fashion.

These positions are one summer semester appointment, part time, non-benefits eligible with no tenure implications. A typical summer instructor course load is one to two classes per summer semester. Teaching duties include:  preparing course materials, responding to and evaluating student work, and availability for one-on-one assistance (via weekly office hours for on-campus classes and electronically for online classes). 

The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment.  Individuals hired as session instructors may not hold multiple, non-benefits-eligible appointments at Arizona State University. Session instructors assignments are paid $1,500 per credit hour over the length of the session. 

Anticipated start date is: Summer 2025, session A, B and/or C

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field
• Record of scholarly publication and/or evidence of professional development in relevant field
• Minimum of two years of post-secondary teaching experience
